Prior to this, he was managing the firm\u2019s<br \/>\nGlobal Emerging Markets Shariah strategy for Islamic investors and a sustainability-based Emerging<br \/>\nMarkets product. <\/p>\n<p>Nick\u2019s appointment bolsters Nomura\u2019s dedicated Emerging Markets team in London, which has<br \/>\ngathered momentum since the appointment of Jonathan Bell (formerly of Pictet) as its head in May<br \/>\n2012 and Rainer Tilk (formerly of Swedbank), covering Eastern Europe, in January 2013. <\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Bell, Head of Emerging Market Equities at NAM UK said:<br \/>\n\u201cWe are excited about Nick joining us. Nomura is renowned as an Asian specialist, and with this<br \/>\nappointment we are closer to achieving our goal of building a globally recognised Emerging Markets<br \/>\nequity competence.
