In this role, he will have responsibility for implementing<br \/>\nthe 2014-2016 development plan and continuing the process of adapting CIB to its<br \/>\nenvironment.<\/p>\n<p><quote><br \/>\nCurrently Head of Global Equities and Commodity Derivatives (GECD), he will take on his<br \/>\nnew role on 1 October 2014, reporting to Alain Papiasse.<\/quote><\/p>\n<p>Alain Papiasse, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the BNP Paribas Group, in addition to<br \/>\nsupporting the development of CIB, will represent the Group General Management in<br \/>\nNorth America, particularly in terms of implementing the remediation plan and new<br \/>\nregulatory requirements. With his wealth of experience and knowledge of the region, he<br \/>\nwill also help reinforce coverage for large clients in order to support BNP Paribas&#8217; North<br \/>\nAmerican development plan.<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Laurent Bonnaf\u00e9, Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas, said: <em>&#8220;In asking<br \/>\nYann G\u00e9rardin to take on these new responsibilities, I have full confidence in his<br \/>\nmanagerial capability, which has been ably demonstrated within GECD since these<br \/>\nactivities were established. He has helped make BNP Paribas GECD a global leader in the<br \/>\nequity derivatives industry. I would particularly like to thank Alain Papiasse for the key<br \/>\nrole he has played in successfully developing BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment<br \/>\nBanking since 2009.
