{"id":54914,"date":"2016-07-28T00:05:37","date_gmt":"2016-07-27T22:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beta.next-finance.net\/innovation\/blackrock-launches-strategic-global-bond-fund-as-investors-seek-diversified-fixed-income-exposure\/"},"modified":"2016-07-28T00:05:37","modified_gmt":"2016-07-27T22:05:37","slug":"blackrock-launches-strategic-global-bond-fund-as-investors-seek-diversified-fixed-income-exposure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/beta.next-finance.net\/en\/innovation\/blackrock-launches-strategic-global-bond-fund-as-investors-seek-diversified-fixed-income-exposure\/","title":{"rendered":"BlackRock launches strategic global bond fund as investors seek diversified fixed income exposure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BlackRock Global Funds (BGF) Strategic Global Bond Fund is an actively managed multicurrency<br \/>\nglobal bond fund with a focus on delivering alpha via macro-driven fixed income opportunities<br \/>\nworldwide, including rates and foreign exchange across emerging and developed markets. <\/p>\n<p>Allocations<br \/>\nto different securities are evaluated and sized relative to a customised benchmark, which consists of<br \/>\n80% Barclays Global Aggregate Index (unhedged) and 20% emerging markets exposure.<\/p>\n<p><quote>The five-strong portfolio management team employ a comprehensive risk management approach,<br \/>\nassessing portfolio risk across 4,000 unique risk factors.<\/quote><\/p>\n<p>Scott Thiel, Deputy CIO Fixed Income at BlackRock and one of the fund\u2019s portfolio managers,<br \/>\nsaid: <em>\u201cThe challenges facing global bond investors are greater than ever. Highly accommodative<br \/>\nmonetary policy has artificially boosted bond markets with yields on higher quality bonds continuing to<br \/>\ndecline. However, there are opportunities for active managers to identify sources of added value by<br \/>\ncapitalising on global opportunities and macroeconomic trends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hear from many investors that they want global macro, liquid strategies that can take advantage of<br \/>\nthe divergence in performance across different markets. We\u2019ve launched this fund in response to this<br \/>\ndemand.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The annual management charge of the fund\u2019s D share class is 0.50%, and ongoing charge fee is<br \/>\n0.70%.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fifth fund in BlackRock\u2019s flagship Global Bond fund range, which includes the BGF Fixed<br \/>\nIncome Global Opportunities fund, BGF World Bond Fund, BGF Global Corporate Bond and BSF<br \/>\nGlobal Absolute Return Bond Fund.
