AnaCap\t Financial\t Partners\t (\u201cAnaCap\u201d),\t the\t specialist\t European\t financial\t services
\nprivate\t equity\t firm,\t has\t announced\t the\t signing\t of\t an\t agreement\t to\t acquire\t a
\nportfolio\t of\t Italian\t performing\t and\t non-performing corporate\t secured loans\t from
\nBarclays.\t<\/p>\n
The\t portfolio,\t which\t has\t a\t gross\t book\t value\t of\t \u20ac177\t million,\t comprises\t loans\t to
\nprimarily\tsmall\tand\tmid-sized\tcorporates secured against\treal\testate\tlocated\tmostly
\nin\tthe\tnorth\tof\tItaly.\t<\/p>\n
The\t agreement\t follows\t AnaCap\u2019s\t Credit\t Funds\u2019\t acquisition last\t year\t of\t three
\nportfolios\t of\t unsecured\t and\t secured\t NPLs\t from\t GE,\t RBS\t and\t UniCredit,\t totalling
\nclose\tto \u20ac2.5 billion.\t<\/p>\n
Last\t month,\t AnaCap\t Private\t Equity\t Funds\t also\t announced\t the\t signing\t of\t an
\nagreement\t with\t Barclays\t to\t acquire\t its\t French\t retail\t banking\t operations,\t which
\nwould\tbecome\tthe\tPrivate\tEquity\tFunds\tsixth\tbanking\tplatform\tin\tEurope.<\/p>\n
