The thematic fund has exposure to a traditionally defensive stock universe, consisting of European and international food and consumer companies.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The food and consumer sector can potentially offer some attractive opportunities<br \/>\nfor example,<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>  Historically, companies are less sensitive to economic cycles &#8211; they can<br \/>\npotentially generate steady results and are often referred to as \u201csafe-haven<br \/>\nstocks\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>  These stocks can be boosted by product innovation and investment<\/li>\n<li>  Companies can benefit from dynamic consumer spending in emerging<br \/>\nmarkets resulting from the growth of the middle classes and improvement in<br \/>\npurchasing power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The fund will be managed by Francoise Lafitte who has a strong track record in<br \/>\nthis sector having run a similar strategy the AAA Actions Agro Alimentaire fund.<br \/>\nAt the end of March 2017, the AAA Actions Agro Alimentaire fund displayed an<br \/>\nannualized performance of 9.3%[[Natixis Food &#038; Consumer Equities is the Feeder fund of the French-law FCP fund AAA Actions Agro<br \/>\nAlimentaire<br \/>\n]] since inception in 1985, with lower volatility[[As at 03\/31\/2017.
