Financing the agri-food sector is a natural step for<br \/>\na group that has its origins in agriculture,\u201d<\/em> underlines Pedro Antonio Arias, Head of Amundi\u2019s Real and<br \/>\nAlternative Assets division.<\/p>\n<p>Amundi\u2019s private debt team of 12, managing \u20ac5.5 billion(2)<br \/>\nof assets under management, is responsible for<br \/>\nstructuring and managing the fund while drawing on local expertise from Amundi\u2019s teams in Italy. In<br \/>\naddition, Amundi has established a special partnership with the Italian subsidiary of Cr\u00e9dit Agricole Group.<br \/>\nThe Italian bank network contributes not only sector skills and additional credit risk analysis, but also<br \/>\nsourcing through its very strong presence in the Italian agri-food business.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn addition to the contacts we have developed in the sector through our local presence, nearly 50% of our<br \/>\nsourcing comes from the Credit Agricole\u2019s networks in Italy,\u201d<\/em> explains Pierre-Henri Carles, Head of Private<br \/>\nDebt, Amundi, Italy. <em>\u201cThis privileged access to Italian producers of cured ham and Parmesan cheese allows<br \/>\nus to diversify the counterparties of bonds that we structure.
